Criminal Damage to Property Investigation

The City of Carbondale Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a criminal damage to property investigation.   On 04/05/2018 officers were dispatched to 514 S. Illinois Avenue (Old Town Liquors) for a Criminal Damage to Property Complaint.  Officers met with employees and found that an individual had damaged the ATM Machine outside the store. Damage to the ATM was estimated at $1500.  Upon reviewing surveillance footage, it was found that the individual, whose photograph is attached, damaged the screen.  Anyone who can identify the suspect or anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
