Liquor License Suspension
The City of Carbondale Suspends Hollywood Lounge Liquor License
CARBONDALE – On March 30, 2018, Mayor Mike Henry, acting in his capacity as Chairman of the Local Liquor Control Commission, following advice from City staff and pursuant to Section 2-2-3 of the Carbondale Revised Code, summarily suspended the liquor license for Hollywood Lounge. The suspension is effective immediately and the establishment is required to remain closed until 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018.
Public safety concerns led to the closure following an advertised event by a musical group from Chicago whose events have a history of violence. This action was consistent with action taken by both SIU Carbondale and Williamson County in order to protect the welfare of the public.
For more information, contact Carbondale City Manager Gary Williams at (618) 457-3225.
