Traffic Crash Investigation

On 03-12-2018 at 9:36 a.m., the City of Carbondale Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of the 1700 block of East Main Street in reference to a report of a single vehicle, roll-over traffic crash.  Upon arrival officers found a vehicle had left the roadway, crashed through a guardrail and rolled over down an embankment.  The vehicle was occupied by three adults and one child.  All occupants were transported by Jackson County Ambulance to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for serious, but not life threatening injuries.  No other vehicles have been identified as being involved with this crash and no citations have been issued at this time.  Anyone with information about the traffic crash is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
