Missing Person/Habitual Runaway Investigation

On 1-24-2018 officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department received a report of a runaway/missing person.  Officers learned that 17 year old Brierra E. N. Brown was last seen at the Gateway Treatment facility in the 1000 block of East Park Street on 1-24-2018 at about 10:30 a.m.  Brown is described as a black female, about 5’2” tall, weighing about 250 pounds, with brown eyes and ear-length artificially red hair.  She was last seen wearing a black jacket and black leggings, and carrying a brown bag. Brown is from the Chicago area and has no known connections in Southern Illinois, according to family. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brown should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200.  The investigation into this incident is continuing.
