05-09-14 Web Release – Unlawful Use of Credit Card Investigation
On 12-13-13, the City of Carbondale Police Department began investigating a report of a theft of a debit card. During the course of the investigation, officers identified Anthony T. Ramey as a suspect. On 03-25-14, a Jackson County judge issued a warrant for Ramey’s arrest, charging him with Conspiracy to Commit a Financial Crime. Carbondale Police and Officers with the SIU Police Department have already arrested two other individuals on warrants issued for this case. The Carbondale Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Ramey, who is a 20 year old black male, 5’9” tall, weighs 160 pounds and has short black hair. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
