Armed Robbery Investigation Update

03-10-14 Web Release –Armed Robbery Investigation Update

On 03-08-14 at about 8:50 p.m., the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 1400 block of North Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of an armed robbery in progress.  During the course of the investigation officers identified and arrested three juveniles for their involvement in the armed robbery.  The juvenile suspectswere each charged with Armed Robberyand they were incarcerated at the Franklin Juvenile Detention Center.  The City of Carbondale Police Department is not seeking any additional suspects and there were no injuries as a result of this incident.

03-10-14 Web Release –Armed Robbery Investigation

On 03-08-14 at about 8:50 p.m., the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 1400 block of North Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of an armed robbery in progress. Officers learned unknown suspect wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt walked into the business and brandished a handgun while demanding money. The suspect then fled the scene on a foot southbound. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
