12-18-13 Web Release –Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation
On 12-17-13 at 3:40 p.m. the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 100 block of North Gum Street in reference to a report of gunshots fired. Officers learned the victim and the suspect, who are acquaintances, began arguing over money. During the argument the suspect began firing a weapon at the victim, who suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was treated and released at Memorial Hospitalof Carbondale for a non-life threatening injury. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was not located. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
