Malfunctioning Telephone System

10-03-13 Web Release- Malfunctioning Telephone System

The City of Carbondale Police Department would like to report that the Department telephone system is again fully functional. Non-emergency police issues can be reported by the public by calling 618-457-3200. Police, fire and medical emergencies can be reported by calling 911.

Prior Release:

The City of Carbondale Police Department would like to alert the community that it is currently experiencing malfunctions with the Department telephone answering system.  Technicians are on scene to repair the system, but at this time, it is unknown how long the 618-457-3200 will be down. To report non-emergency police issues, please contact the Department at 618-549-2121. The Jackson County 911 system is still functioning, and police, fire and medical emergencies can still be reported by 911.
