I would like to welcome you to the Carbondale Police Department web site. Here you will discover information regarding the diverse array of services offered by our department. A police department can only be as good as the partnerships it creates with its community, and solid community partnerships with the police are the most effective way of securing our community. My goal for our department is to be regarded as an institution that develops relationships of mutual trust and respect within our community by treating all citizens fairly, while at the same time supporting an environment where diverse social and cultural values are allowed to develop.

I encourage you to browse through our web site, which will provide you with information pertaining to safety programs, parking information, downloadable forms and other resources available here at the Carbondale Police Department. We strive to remain actively involved with the community we serve. In addition to our many community outreach efforts such as Neighborhood Watch, DARE, Citizen’s Police Academy, and Personal Safety for Women, we also offer a wide variety of crime victim services and a ride-along program. As Chief of Police, I am proud of our Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (C.A.L.E.A.) nationally accredited department, our State certified police officers, skilled support staff and civilian employees and our dedicated volunteers who have demonstrated a personal commitment to providing a professional and effective community oriented law enforcement agency. To succeed in reaching our goal of creating positive partnerships within the community, we must have open lines of communication with all of our citizens and provide them the accessibility to contact us.
